Hmm.....

This isn't what you want to hear from your friend when you tell them about your new house, especially when they're in the know about historical stuff.

See, my house does have a certificate giving it some kind of special historical status. I haven't made time to check up on that stuff yet, being too busy with carpet cleaners and painting to wade into it.

What might it be like to just have things be humdrum?

special historical status = less than three bodies found in the basement

house of death = four or more bodies found in the basement.

looks like you're in the clear.

I'm with Bryan; they don't usually give historical designation to serial killer homes.
Nice place.
Congrats.

wish i had some quirky remarks, but mostly i wanted to lest you know that if you need more info on historical stuff...what to do...what not to do...what you can do...just contact me through the network...the usual suspects...nate, regina and fuzz, the omaha crew (christine/ann), etc. cut my teeth doing historical architecture for the national park service. let me know. i agree with oldman and cc...nice digs!

ok I am lost in the tone here, are we laughing that you have this house or are we upset that you have this house and not laughing because of what happened there of course and not laughing laughing but you know nervous I do not know what to say laughing, just that now you own this house, by the way I love it, it is so pretty. I love the porch too. congratulations on your new home.
