It's a dark day.

Pakistan's Bhutto assassinated: "Pakistan opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was assassinated by a suicide bomber on Thursday, plunging the nuclear-armed country into one of the worst crises in its 60-year history."

Democracy isn't acceptable for everyone. Opportunity for status quo to tighten control and for others to come into power. Only with hindsight can we interpret this as positive or negative turning point.
