Gets bigger every week

The Husker recovery ride from Blues Bike & Fitnes gets bigger every week. It looked like there were 35 people tonight. I didn't ride far -- just over to Blues then through Pioneers and back, but that ended up being about an hour of easy spinning, which is what was on my plan for today. The bulk of the group headed on out to Denton and seemed to be staying together for once. Only five of us got dropped out. Chet had mechanicals, I stayed with a new rider, and a couple of other guys decided they didn't want to go long either.

Sydney, we haven't seen you riding Hwy 2 in the morning any more...

It's getting dark, but it's a great time to ride. We are hoping we can make it until the end of August before we decide it's too dark.

Then...the parking garages, oh the challenge...

Yeah, I was thinking about that Saturday. I've switched to some group rides and haven't been doing the early routes. Prolly wednesday tho. Have stuff to take care of wednesday evening, so will have to ride in the am.

I should have stuck with you, my monday night recovery did not leave me feeling so much recovered. Parking garage, what a great plan. I should do that now to get ready for ashville. Do they get mad about that? you know what is the protocol? Or is it more of a storm the tower kind of thing?

I wouldn't know about the parking garages. Never done 'em myself, but seems like it would be a good uphill workout. I'm guessing that so long as it's not busy and you stay out of the way, nobody will care much.

Little fracture after that last Pioneer hill. Some headed out to Van dorn and then went East. Fob and I headed back to find the field gone. We toodled out to Denton by way of Pleasant Dale rd and found a few peeps. Got to Denton. Wondered, "what we waiting for?" Fob and I then toodled back to van dorn.

It was nice. Fob let me ride at my pace and that actually made me go faster. I don't like being at the front thinking the train behind thinks I'm leading too slow.

Talking to my new student, Andrea, and she was saying how interesting BRAN was when they rolled into Cambridge.

It's nice to bring biking to small communities.

lastnights recovery ride was good when we got to pioneers park i think those teamfire guys were trying to kill me but i was proud that i was keeping up with em for the most part plus ive only been cycling hardcore for about 2 or 3 months but yeah parking garages do seem like they would be fun

With the parking garages, I don't really know if anyone cares, but they can be a blast. We would go early in the morning, before they fill up, so we typically don't see anyone. Once the weather turns colder and it's dark early in the am, it's a good option. Out of the elements (kind of) and well lit. It's fun to race up...down and work on the cornering skills.
